The buffer ring made of soft plastic performs a similar function to a bumper for castors. Deflector wheels can be adapted to different castor requirements with the appropriate adapter sleeves. This way, the inner diameter of the wheels is reduced and they can be adapted for wheels with a narrower spigot with the help of an adapter sleeve.
The material of deflector wheels - robust but soft
Deflector wheels are made of soft plastic, which in turn encases a wheel body made of hard plastic to prevent shocks and friction. To minimise this, the wheels rotate on plain bearings. As a result, the deflector wheel glides rolling along the walls without leaving any marks. The reducing sleeve for wheels of this type is made of hard plastic in order to be able to guarantee rolling even with other internal diameters.
