Ladder castors for the safe relocation of ladders
Nothing is more annoying than having to lift heavy ladders to move them. Ladder castors make it easy to upgrade conventional ladders, stepladders, climbing ladders, folding ladders, lean-to ladders or shelf ladders, or even platform ladders, e.g. from mobile speaker platforms, and then move them easily. This applies to everything from painters and building cleaners to warehouse logistics and library ladders. The advantage of this is that ladders on castors reduce the physical strain on the one hand, and on the other hand they save time by speeding up the moving of the equipment.
Simply attach ladder castors
Ladder castors or spring castors can be attached to the side of the ladder uprights without much effort - for aluminium ladders as well as for wooden ladders: each castor has 6 fixing holes with which the spring castors are screwed to the lower end of the ladder.
The functionallity of ladder castors
Ladder castors work on the principle of loading and unloading with an integrated suspension. When there is no person on the ladder, it can be moved easily on the spring-loaded castors. When the ladder is stepped on, the spring-loaded castors press in so that the ladder uprights stand firmly and securely on the ground. These do not need to be actively secured, as they retract automatically when the ladder is loaded.
Ladder castors of the highest quality
Ladder castors consist of a robust galvanised sheet steel housing with integrated spring suspension. The housing has two mounting lugs with 3 fixing holes each. The castors used are available as fixed castors and swivel castors with wheels made of plastic and a covering of high-quality thermoplastic rubber. This covering material is particularly suitable for this use as it does not chalk and offers extra quiet comfortable running on plain bearings. The load capacity is 40 kg per castor, which is braked from a load of 5 kg.
