Trunnion and expander fittings for castors
Pintle and expander fasteners or expanding sleeve fasteners are the optimal solution if you need to fasten castors to round or square tubes or tube legs. This is because they brace themselves in the hollow bodies and in this way securely connect the castor to the tube via expander or expansion anchor. Thus, both a peg fastening and an expander fastening or an expansible sleeve fastening provide the perfect fixation for castors under chairs, stools, serving trolleys, shelves, apparatus and transport equipment.
Fastening of castors in tubes
If you need to fix castors under tube legs, there are two solutions: the peg fixing and the expander or expanding sleeve fixing. Both variants are pushed into the tube and are no longer visible after installation. With these variants, a visually aesthetic, elegant and at the same time secure mounting of castors in tubes is possible. Both types of fastening can also be used in holes of a corresponding diameter or dimension.
Spigot fixing for round tubes
Rollers can be fixed in round tubes with a steel pin that has a transverse hole. With the help of a screw with a spring washer, the pin is securely fixed to the tube. This is available in various diameters for common round tubes. For use in square tubes, an impact sleeve must be ordered with which you can fasten the spigot.
Expander fastening for round tube and square tube
In round or square tubes, the expander fastening is particularly suitable for apparatus rolls and their areas of application. The fastening is based on the expanding principle, which is why this type of fastening is also called expanding sleeve fastening. The fastening - which consists of a part to be spread and a central cap screw - is inserted into the tube and fixed there. Tightening the screw tightens the expansion element inside the pipe and thus presses against the inner walls. The screw is protected against unintentional loosening by an anti-rotation device. This prevents the rollers from loosening on their own due to unintentional forces in the pipe.
