Scissor roller conveyors and scissor wheel conveyors
If the guidance of a conveyor line is to be designed variably, scissor roller conveyors and scissor wheel conveyors are used as independent and flexible conveying routes for changing conveying directions and destinations. They are versatile because they can be bent in almost any direction thanks to the pull-out mechanism. For this reason, they are used in a wide variety of applications. They transport a wide variety of wares, boxes, packages or goods. They are often used as an infeed or outfeed roller conveyor to pick up the goods in a targeted manner or to feed packages to changing packaging machines. Scissor roller conveyors make the production and logistics process flexible.
The scissor roller conveyor runs on a slight gradient
Scissor roller conveyors and wheel conveyors transport goods through an adjustable angle of inclination. They are ideally used with a gradient of two to five percent. This is enough to make the best possible use of the gravity-controlled run. Scissor conveyors transport goods without generating any energy costs. However, the speed of the continuous material flow can be individually controlled. The overall height can be adapted to the conditions between 700 and 1100 mm.
Flexibility all along the conveyor
Scissor conveyors are flexible when used in dry indoor areas. Their pull-out mechanism enables variable conveyor routing and curves can be incorporated, all the way to semicircles. Thus the path of the transported goods can be precisely controlled from the start or to the end point. In this way, they adapt to complex spatial and logistical conditions.
Space-saving – or expansive – in use
The scissor frame of the roller conveyors can be pushed together to save space when it is not being used. When in use, it can be extended up to 9.6 m and thus bridge a wide variety of distances. This means that a scissor roller conveyor or wheel roller conveyor can have variable conveyor lengths. Since scissor conveyors do not require a motor, they are practically maintenance-free. Individual rollers and parts can easily be replaced.
Plastic or steel conveyor rollers or wheels
Plastic conveyor rollers or wheels have the advantage that they produce very little rolling noise. For sturdy goods, you can alternatively choose rollers made of durable galvanised steel. Both variants have ball-bearing axles. In the case of scissor roller conveyors, the conveyor rollers are divided in order to achieve perfect cornering.
