Other materials for plastic wheels
Alternatively, plastic wheels made of polypropylene are used. This material is somewhat less resistant to environmental influences, but offers excellent value for money. Extremely heat-resistant plastic wheels are made of phenolic resin - a thermosetting plastic - or thermoplastic mixtures. They can be used up to +350 °C or, for short periods, up to 400 °C. The high temperature resistance and, above all, the ability to use the wheels even at sub-zero temperatures ensure high reliability in use. This is because the plastic wheels support a wide range of work steps safely and smoothly. In addition, the load capacity naturally plays an important role when evaluating the various wheels. Depending on the choice of material components, the load capacity of the wheels naturally changes significantly. The modern plastic wheels from BS Rollen can be equipped with plain bearings, roller bearings or ball bearings and thus achieve a load capacity of between 10 and 11,000 kg per wheel. This means that these wheels can actually be used in most areas and, above all, under the toughest conditions.
