Puncture-proof wheels
Puncture-proof wheels
The puncture resistant wheels of BS Rollen are used in a wide range of applications where pneumatic wheels can be quickly damaged by the penetration of foreign objects such as nails, chips or broken glass. The puncture resistant wheels are thorn-resistant and flatfree, so there are no notorious "flats".
Puncture-proof wheels are often used as wheelbarrow wheels, sack barrow wheels or slip carriage wheels, underneath transport carts, hand carts, platform trucks or they are used in the toy sector, e.g. on handcarts or as support wheels. Puncture-proof wheels are the right choice wherever there is a risk of foreign objects penetrating and yet resilient comfort on uneven floors is desired.
Puncture-proof wheels are not air-filled, but are made of foamed polyurethane. The tyres are maintenance-free, much lighter than a solid rubber wheel, do not chalk and offer a driving comfort that is quite close to a pneumatic wheel.
Alternatively you can use pneumatic wheels. These wheels are not made of foamed solid material, but are filled with air. Pneumatic wheels are often used wherever the driving comfort and suspension of puncture-proof tyres is insufficient and there is no risk of puncture.
Puncture-proof wheels are so versatile
Puncture-proof wheels are available in various designs, in blue and black. They are mostly used as single wheels and are mounted on fixed axles on one side or, with an axle tube, are also installed in fixed castors, swivel castors and castors with brakes.
Depending on the nature of the floor, a choice can be made between a studded profile and a grooved profile of the PU tread. The rims are made of powder-coated steel. Alternatively, the wheel body can consist of a plastic rim.
Suspension and load of puncture-proof wheels
Puncture-proof wheels offer a comfortable suspension on uneven paths due to their fine-pored foam inside, but they are not suitable for permanent loading with very heavy weights, as the porous material would then compress.
The load capacity of the puncture-proof wheels with roller bearings ranges from 75 - 200 kg per wheel.
